School Visits

School and library workshops are an exciting part of being an picture book illustrator.

School Sessions are available for Primary and Secondary School students - fun, engaging and interactive workshops with collaborative drawing activities that bring to life characters and story scenes. I explain the process I use to create a picture book, show students original sketches and drawings and discuss the fundamentals of drawing and design.

Art residencies and illustration programs are also available.

For Secondary students, workshops focus on the importance of narrative through imagery, a discussion about creative industries and career pathways for visual storytellers as well as hands-on drawing activities exploring art fundamentals including proportion, perspective and character design.

Custom workshops can be designed to meet school curriculum or library programs.

I am also available for festivals and international workshops.

Next year is shaping up to be another exciting season, with illustrator visits available focusing on Picture Books, Curious Creatures, Narrative Illustration and other custom workshop ideas.
