School VisitsIllustrator visits and workshops allow students to engage in fun and interactive sessions, learn new drawing techniques and explore the world of visual narrative literacy. Workshops include a Q&A session, a hands-on drawing workshop and class/group or 1-1 feedback.
These sessions can be themed to fit with current school events, class projects or curriculum content. A standard session runs for 45 min-1 hour, but custom sessions can be designed upon request including longer sessions or a series of workshops (i.e. over 2-8 weeks). An online option is available upon request. |
Bespoke WorkshopsIllustration experiences and workshops allow participants of all ages to explore their creativity in a safe and fun environment.
Each workshop is developed specific to the audiences need, from introducing basic drawing skills, exploring fundamental principles of design and anatomy, one-on-one project tuition to fun experiences for adults and children alike. These workshops can be delivered in person or online via Zoom, depending on requirements. |

Lauren developed a series of drawing video tutorials, downloadable templates, and a live virtual workshop for the Unley Libraries. She was very collaborative in sharing her knowledge and tailoring the content to our target audience. She presented herself and her work so professionally and made the whole process run perfectly smoothly. The way she structured the workshop really broke the drawing process down into manageable pieces for students, explaining things clearly, giving encouraging feedback, and allowing the young artists to ask questions. Most importantly she made it interactive and fun by giving the opportunity for students to contribute their ideas and share their work.

The printed canvases arrived today and the girls got to see their bedtime stories come to life. They were SO excited, it was a fantastic surprise. Thank you so much again, we all LOVE it! We've been telling stories and playacting pirate adventures all afternoon now. I hope it never stops.

Lauren inspired the students to create character images using techniques involving identifying words associated with emotions, character shapes that can be used to represent personalities, how construction lines are used to draw a character, and representing characters visually based on their roles within plots.
